So, you’ve written a blog post that’s witty, engaging, and informative! Don’t let it just sit on your website and wait for someone to read it. Repurpose that content to give it a second (or third, or fourth) chance to get seen. Here are five of our favorite ways to make your blog content work harder (and smarter) for you!

Turn it Into a Video

We’ve all heard it, and we marketers have all said it – video is king. But we’re not the only ones talking. According to Statista, there are a whopping 3.37 billion people who watch videos worldwide.

When you’re ready to get started, start by identifying the key points or sections that translate well visually.  Once you know what you want to share, craft a script that mirrors your blog.  Be sure to keep it conversational and concise.  Adding visuals such as images, screen captures, or animations can keep your audience interested while reinforcing your message.

You don’t need to be a videography wizard to turn your blog into a visual masterpiece. Whether it’s with live-action, animation, or stock footage, you can bring a blog to life. For the DIY approach, grab your smartphone, find a quiet spot, and talk to your audience about the post. Post it on You Tube, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn depending on your business goals. Voila – new content, wider audience.

Don't forget to add subtitles! Most people watch videos on mute while pretending to work!

Create an Infographic

Is your blog filled with stats, tips, or data? Infographics can be your best friend! Start by breaking down your blog into key sections or data points that can be represented graphically.  Info graphics work best with statistics, step-by-step processes, or lists of facts, so look for hidden nuggets of information that resonate in this format.

Design is crucial when creating an infographic. Think of your infographic as a storyboard, where the design speaks louder than words. Keep your sentences short and let your brand colors and fonts do the heavy lifting.  Each visual element should support the content, not overwhelm it.  Infographics are shareable by nature, so once it is designed, post it on social media, add it to the original blog, or drop it in a newsletter to expand the reach.  Don’t forget to add your logo to the design so when it circulates the web everyone knows where to find more info!

Spin it Into Social Media Posts

Say goodbye to the dreaded creative blocks! A single blog post can morph into multiple pieces of social media content. Break your topic down into bite-sized nuggets of info that can stand alone as social media posts.  Think key quotes, tips, and statistics.  Add some eye-catching visuals and you’ve got shareable content that grabs attention.

For a more interactive approach, turn your blog’s main points into polls, quizzes, or Q&A sessions on social.  You can ask followers for their opinions on key trends, create an Instagram story to test your followers’ knowledge, or shoot a quick TikTok video highlighting the key points.  One blog = a goldmine of social posts.

Record a Podcast Episode

Podcast Listeners Worldwide

Have a podcast (or thinking of starting one)? Give your blog a voice! Reading is great, but when your audience hears the inflection in your voice or passion about a topic, it resonates on a whole new level. Plus, it is the perfect forum to dive deeper into the topic and really show off your expertise.

Since podcasts are typically more casual, they allow you to expand on ideas, add personal anecdotes, and bring in examples that might not have made the cut on your blog.  Recording a solo episode works, but you can also invite guests or customers to chat about the topic with you, adding more depth and different perspectives.  Keep the tone on-brand, but engaging as podcasts thrive on a natural flow and personal connection with listeners.

Use it as an Email Newsletter

If you’re looking to drive clicks to your blog, popping that content into a newsletter is the way to go.  Extract key takeaways from your blog, as well as actionable tips.  Structure your content in a way that flows smoothly for subscribers.  We love to tease parts of the blog in the newsletter to encourage more traffic to the blog to read the idea in full.

To add even more value, customize the content by including updates to the blog, related articles, or products you offer that tie into your topic.  By transforming a blog into a newsletter, you’re not only repurposing your content but also creating a direct communication channel that builds loyalty and encourages engagement.
